Suited for those who have a very short time on the island, this tour takes you on a visit to 2 main craters of the island Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades.
In the Lagoa do Fogo area you visit the top of the crater with its lake which is part of the Nature Reserve of Lagoa do Fogo, the Natural Monument of Caldeira Velha with its hot springs and the Salto do Cabrito waterfall.
Around the Protected Landscape Area of Sete Cidades you visit the overviews of Vista do Rei and Lagoa do Canário, the village of Sete Cidades, the shores of the lake and Lagoa de Santiago.

It is an imposing waterfall with about 40 meters of altitude that excels by the freshness and the peace that provides to those who visit it.

Salto do Cabrito Waterfall features crystalline waters that invite bathing.
It is located near the town of Ribeira Grande, accessible by the Lagoa do Fogo road through a dirt track.
It also integrates a pedestrian route in a circular route with beginning and end in the zone of the Boilers of Ribeira Grande. The trail begins next to the geothermal power station of Pico Vermelho.

  • Involved by a forest of incenses, acacias, criptomérias and eucalyptus.
  • To the right, peer into the valley of Ribeira Grande.

This viewpoint is one of the most crowded places on the island and draws its visitors glimpses of such beauty.

If on one side reigns the excellence of one of the most known landscapes of the Island of San Miguel, on the other one can not fail to notice the old Hotel Monte Palace now abandoned. Closed in 1990, this 5 star resort is today just a set of walls waiting for an uncertain future.

  • Located at an altitude of 540 m
  • View of the town of Sete Cidades and its lagoons.

The Lagoa do Canário is a lagoon located on the Azorean island of São Miguel, Azores archipelago, and is related to the volcanic formation of the Seven Cities Massif.

This lagoon is located in the Devassa Mountains housed in a volcanic crater. Its elevation in relation to the sea level is at 800 meters of altitude and is surrounded by forests typical of Macaronesia and plantations of criptomérias. Near this lagoon is the Mirador of the Lagoon of the Canary.

  • Nearby is Groto do Inferno Viewpoint, with stunning scenery
  • You can see the Caldeira das Sete Cidades, with the Blue, Green and Santiago Lagoons
